FAQ
Pipelining vs. Pipeline Replacement
The difference between lining a sewer mainline and performing a full replacement primarily depends on the condition of the existing pipe. If the pipe maintains adequate capacity, proper alignment, and has no low spots, a less intrusive lining method can be used to extend its lifespan. However, if the pipe has settled, causing low spots and pooling, it must be excavated and replaced. Full replacement is also required in areas where the sewer pipe size needs to be increased.
What portion of the sewer pipeline is my responsibility?
The property owner owns the service lateral pipeline from the home/business all the way to the main pipeline. This includes the connection to the main pipeline. The service lateral pipeline length and alignment may vary slightly.
What are you doing to ensure crew, motorist and pedestrian safety in the construction zones.
For your safety, as well as the safety of those working in the area, please use extra caution and stay alert while driving through construction zones. In particular near areas with deep trenches during excavation. Businesses and residents in the area should anticipate increased noise, dust, and vibration associated with construction.
For pedestrian safety, please stay clear of construction equipment and work zones onsite. Pay attention to road closure signs and work areas zoned off by construction tape, barrels, cones or barricades.
Why are we replacing the sewer main pipeline?
We have historical and recent visual evidence of extremely high corrosion and deterioration levels. The volume of repairs are adding increased pressures on rates.
